Accessibility

Lunar Nature Calendar is designed to be usable and enjoyable for everyone.

We believe the lunar calendar should be accessible to all. Lunar Nature Calendar supports the following iOS accessibility features to help ensure a comfortable experience no matter how you use your device.

AA

Larger Text

Lunar Nature Calendar respects your iOS text size settings and scales the interface accordingly — increasing text size up to 200% or more. Date headers, moon phase names, month names, quote text, and settings labels all grow with your chosen size, so nothing gets left behind.

Dark Interface

A full dark color scheme is available to reduce eye strain, especially helpful during evening or nighttime use — which feels right at home for a lunar calendar. Choose Night (Dark) mode, Day (Light) mode, or let the app automatically follow your device’s system setting.

Differentiate Without Color Alone

Key information in the app is distinguished using shapes, labels, and text — not just color. This ensures users with color blindness or other visual differences can navigate the calendar and understand all content clearly.

Sufficient Contrast

The app maintains strong contrast between text, icons, and backgrounds. A High Contrast mode is also available — pairing the Night theme with a pure black background and bright white text, or the Day theme with a pure white background and deep dark text, for maximum readability.

Using iOS Accessibility Settings

Many of these features work in combination with your iPhone’s built-in accessibility settings. You can find them under Settings → Accessibility on your device. Features like Display & Text Size, Increase Contrast, and Differentiate Without Color can be enabled system-wide, and Lunar Nature Calendar will respond to those preferences automatically.
